Thanks guys - looks like this thread is due a long overdue update !!
The car is wrapped up and made its debut at the SEMA show and made its first run in anger at the Optima challenge. The Optima challenge was also a baptism of fire for the owner as it was his first time behind the wheel of the car!

Wow. That thing is awesome.
Love that engine bay and those Autometer gauges look killer in that dash. So nice!
