Hey Lead...thanks for the comment! Taken exactly as you meant and I don't disagree at all. I recall Steve Rupp installed his Autorad core supprot and had it powdercaoted to mute and match. I really liked the look of it.

My design response is not exactly 'because racecar,' but more of a funtional underhood that blends black, aluminum and a touch of red. There are higher end cars that have done a great job of making the entire underhood flow and match and I was not chasing that.

I've quoted Indian Larry (RIP) in the past where he had said, "why cover it up? It's function is it's beauty." Hope that makes sense?

Also really appreciate your input

Oh and Skippah!

Thx fellas! I'm an old(er) dude with a car habit and no time or $$$. No Weld jokes, please [/QUOTE]

You misspelled habit...= addiction...there you go, all fixed. I absolutely love bare metals, my addiction. Under the hood looks great.

Weld joke, Greg sent me his wedding pic while standing at altar, I'll share.

Yeah Lenie, we're all addicts. You know, you once said something I'll never forget: "If billet is your master, look away."

Just like all the killer work you're doing

So meanwhile, we have ignition! Rob's camera work in action (I told him to keep his thumbs to himself ):

Cold oil = 85 to 100 PSI. Open headers and the O2 sensors are wreaking havoc. Also need to work on some harness grounds and other stuff, but the engine harmonics are good. Valve train purrs and the car really wants to rev. Like now. Probably is just a DBW TB adjustment, but my ego is happy

It's a good day

Awesome Ron! Your engine bay is sick (actually your whole car). I bet you were grinning ear to ear when it fired off? I'll probably be jumping up and down like a school girl when that day comes for me. Haha. I know its hard to capture in video but you can tell that's a monster waiting to be unleashed! Sounds great!
