Todd -- the factories don't solder anything... what's that tell you?
Not true sir..... Don't forget I was a GM tech. It's inevitable on these custom builds. There are just applications where I prefer solder and shrink wrap.
Soldering I always thought is a Ok job, 'all most' satisfying, results come quick and it is so much better... the position under dashes, bent into engine bays and such, that can really suck!
I quality gun is nice, I'm sure you have that dialled. We know Greg does.....

I don't mind paying for the items that I need. LOL I also can't pay for something I cannot afford. I think the worst part for me was all of the welding, grinding and repeat as needed. The metal work was fun at first but started to get old at the end. My shell is the only thing done as of right now. But the doors, deck lid, and front clip is in pretty good shape.
My least favorite part is fitment issues, contacting manufactures and having to try several different things to get something to work. Re-doing something several times gets to be old after a while.
I don't mind trying my hand at most anything but front end springs still make me nervous sometimes. lol
I probably like the decision process the most because it's the most creative.
