A little update: quarter panels are about 3/4 of the way completely welded down, and the wheel tubs are about 1/2 way welded down. Shouldn't be too long before the rear sheetmetal is done. BTW its taking so long because i have been building 110 feet of hand rails with complicated ballistors for our 2nd house

Finally almost 2 years later it's starting to come together. Wheels are 18x12.5" CCW classics with 335/30/18 Michelin pilot sports (wanted G-force ta's but they werent out yet) Rearend is a Strange 9" hopefully ill start getting more work done on it now that i have modivation and some parts lol.
Let me know what you think

Mocked up at 5" ride height and I currently only have the rear wheels. so that wheel on the front in some of the pics is actually the drivers side rear.

Man it really looks like you are doing a great job!! Did you put in a full frame or are those just rear frame rails? Wheels look killer!! Looks like you did a good job on the panel replacements. Its good to see you have made some progress.

Welcome aboard Zach. Looks like your well on your way. Car sits awesome. Brings back memories for me - my first car was a 68 when I was 17. Keep up the good work and keep the pics rolling.

Progress is always a good thing. Are you still planning to use a truck arm rear?

Thanks for the comments guys

71Nova- yes I am building the entire frame. It is 2x4"x.120" wall tubing.

awr68 - Wheels are 12.5x18" CCW classics and the tires are 335/30/18 Michelin pilot sports. ( I REALLY wanted the BFG G-Force TAs but at the time there was no info on them and i needed tires to mockup with) For the rear suspension im building a 3 link and the front ill be building everything from scratch but using modified stock geometry. It will be bagged but also have all the mounts for coilovers so i can switch between the 2 depending on what i want to do.

907rs - no Truckarm anymore. After I learned the advantages of the 3 link and also the cost benefit I decided against it.

Here are some old pictures of the mid secton of the frame. It's not done yet but you can see how it sits in there.
