Mario --

Don't forget to clean BOTH SIDES of your area to be welded. People don't realize that the "other side" is gassing and doing all manor of weirdness once that hot weld hits whatever is there -- and that will really mess with your quality!

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN to welding (along with fit up) ---- is like LOCATION is to real estate.

Mario

Holy shiat that looks like an inch or two towards the bottom. A bit of reshaping. Its just the begining the repro stuff is brutal, everything has to be masaged. The one that got me was the repro tail pan, had to re-cut the radiuses on the marquez aluminum housings to fit the openings. Your doing a great job, keep at it.

Well guys it don't look like much but after three sets of outter wheel houses I finally got this welding thing down. No more swiss cheese weak welds. I can actually hammer and dowl without cracking the metal. I feel comfortable moving forward now. I was'nt going any further untill I got this process down. Now time to break out my new Tig..

The wheel tubs are done and fitted . So with that finished I can finally move on to the final fit for the quarter panels. And as you would guess they to fit like SH^T, surprise!!!! I don't even know where to start, the tail panel area is'nt even close, the front door jamb area at the bottom is about 1/4 inch past the rocker, it has to be cut and pulled back in,it just does'nt end!! But it is starting to look like a car again SLOWLY....
