Hard to register it in Oz with a blower. Protrusions out the bonnet cannot be more than 16mm (even this is stretching it), so for now it is running dual quad intake with twin 600 edelbrocks.

Once registered, then I will most likely supercharge and fuel inject it.

I still like the look of a dual quad scoop out the bonnet, like it way way better than a 4" cowl.

Couple of updated pics.

Car in primer now.

Off to Trimmer, Auto Electrician and Exhaust for pre-fitting and other pre-paint work.

Paint is now selected PPG Liquid Crystal Vibrance Series. Yellow Pearl

As it sits is it's ride height. 4" clearance. It's damn low.

May put wider meats on the rear, currently 325 x 17 x 45. M&H make a 390 x 40 x 17.

OK some visual updates....

Car was sitting out in the sun today, first time I've seen it outside.

Ride height is too low, chassis is a bee's dick off the ground at about 2 inches, so it will obviously have to come up 2 inches for rego, but I think I will take it back down to 3 inches post rego, cause damn it looks tough that low...question is whether it will clear the shiity road hazards at that height, I strongly suspect it will not !!

No real good shots of the new exhaust as I had trouble even getting my iPhone under the car to snap pics

The rear mufflers will not stay, as mentioned before there are 2 mufflers either side to get it quiet enough for rego, post rego off come the rear 2 and it will be just pipes out the rear

Best pics I could take with iphone under the car

As she was in the sun, good chance for some other pics, now major changes but good to see her in the light of day

Now the really exciting pics.....

The shop painted up an old falcon guard in the pain we will be painting her...

PPG Vibrance

Oh man I can't tell ya how fricken excited I am, this colour is exactly what I was looking for....

OK to set it up.

The guard has 5 coats of yellow base coat
the rear of the guard has 2 coats of pearl
The front of the guard has 3 coast of pearl
then 2 coats of clear

We will likely run 5 base, 3 pearl, 4 clear, block it, run another 1 or 2 coats of pearl for the "ghost" flames, then more clear

All in all I like it, i love the green and red tinges when the light hits it at different angles, I love the metal flake, and I love the fact that the number of coats actually becomes lighter or darker depending on angle of light. Check out the pics, the front which has 3 coast, is darker than the rear in some shots , and then lighter in other shots at different angles.

Dissapointed we will miss paint before Xmas, just awaiting wheels now before we go to paint...they haven't left the US still being polished as we speak...hopefully they will go out this week

Enjoy...
