An idea that another member gave me:

My car originally came with the factory hood tach. If I moved it over to the new hood, it could not be the primary tach, since the whole instrument cluster is an integrated system (Autometer Nexus), but it would keep it in the Pontiac theme. That's a cool suggestion.

Hey Guys, what do you think about putting the factory hood tach on ?

hood tach pod is a yes, but maybe use a different gauge in it... like boost or fuel pressure or ??

I like the hood tach idea, but I don't think it would look good with the bottom pic(which I chose as the better of the two pics)

I think that the tach(or whatever you use for a guage) would diminish the overall look and lines of the hood. Just my opinion though. If it doesn't serve a function, you don't need it
