As most have already said, these shows are mainly entertainment. These shows have to catch a wide audience not just pure car fanatics. You have to cater to all people not just the guys who actually like to see the build process. Like any reality show you have to have characters and drama.

As annoying as most of these car shows are you can't take away from them that they build nice cars. Danny "the count" annoys me along with the "manager, horny mike" etc but he still builds nice cars most of the time. He marks up the cars accordingly and makes a decent amount and doesn't seem to be trying to get over on anyone like Richard from fast and Annoying.

You would think with the number of shows there are
At least one would stand out. I kinda like chop cut rebuild, but I wish they would cut it down to maybe two car builds instead of 3 .
Fat & furious is a joke. I do agree with others here, rides was probably the best. I do like dream car as well.

Love Counting cars

We were at Cruisin the Coast, the line to get Danny's autograph was four times longer than the beer line... impressive.

It's all about ratings. These exec's could probably care less what the viewers personally think about these shows. Just so long as you keep watching. Rememember, you gotta watch it in order to be able to say a show stinks. I don't know the exact science of it, but you only have to tune if for a few minutes for the show to capture the rating....not watch the show in it's entirety. Once they've got your rating, they could care less how stupid you think the cast is, how dumb they are, how less of consideration you rate the quality of the car building, etc.

I watch most of them for entertainment purposes. Kindig seems to have good taste, but is still on the hot rod/street rod side of things and I get tired of them putting a torq thrust style wheel on every build. They all eventually turn into commercials for products. At least at present, they are commercials for products we all know and support and I am glad to see some of these companies get some recognition on a larger scale. I can't think of how many times I saw those RideTech harnesses on the Fast n Loud episode last night and that ought to help some of these companies move some product and grow our little corner of the car world.

[QUOTE=66fury;570414]danny "the count" aint makin his money from cars.i think hes got tattoo palors and clubs in and around the vegas strip.seems the car thing is just for fun.he seems like a nice friendly guy[/QUOT

The last time I was in vegas a few months ago, We flew out early Monday morning and Danny was in the plane with us. We landed in Casper Wy, and I went and talked to him, He has a band as well and was playing at the grand opening for the Harley dealer in Casper. He's a pretty cool guy, I think he wants to be rockstar more than a car guy. Probably more girls invoved in that!
