Steve, I have had both style lips on this car now and I have to say I like the standard lip better, it gives it more of a performance look and my plan was to go timeless with this build so it works. I do however like the Fat Lip wheels on a build that is more of a resto-mod cruiser, mine is just a little too edgy for that look, that's why I sold the Intro's.
I have to say that after weeks (literaly) of looking at pics of darker 3 piece wheels...especially on silver cars, my wife made the final decision to go with Fikse as she likes the clean look with the hidden hardware. I was on the fence between the Profil 10's and Forgelines, she nocked me off and over to the Fikse side, and let me tell you I'm glad she did as they are nice wheels!!
I'm sure Forgelines are just as nice and I would be happy with them, but I'm a less is more (except for hp) kinda guy and really do like the clean looks of Fikse wheels...it's up to you though.
Dont forget about Simmons wheels,
Group A has good pricing, I almost ordered the Alta in Charcoal Grey. I think this wheel would look hot on a first gen!! Check out the Porsche in their gallery!!
