I wouldn't hold Budnik up too high. Twice I have wanted wheels from them, twice I have been told 16 weeks

The second time they compounded the issue by wasting 5 weeks. I thought the wheels were ordered and being made, I get an email saying..."Did you want to order the wheels we were discussing". I replied saying I did ...5 weeks ago. They said oh we though that was just an enquiry. When you see my email that says. Great those specs are perfect lets get started how do you want me to pay...I can't for the life of me see how that is an enquiry...

Twice I have gone with alternate suppliers.

Sure I am in Australia but shipping takes under 1 week.

Reality is every company can share great stories and all have horror stories. What is important is not to lie. At least Budnik told me up front it would be 4 months +

I know Rushforth don't make the wheels you want, I had to change my wheel preference also but did so simply on the basis that Jason seems to have a good rep and never heard anyone disappointed. i can say working with him on my latest set of wheels (second set and the car hasn't even hit the road yet) that Rushforth have been nothing short of excellent. Great quality customer service, which is all that matters at the end of the day, it's not about the wheel..plenty of wheel companies, plenty of wheels to choose from, it's about people and service.

I did not mean to imply Budnik is better than any other. The personal service I've received from Jay has been above any other company I have ever dealt with in all my years of working on cars. (I have not talked to Driverz Inc or Rushforth, though, and they seem to be VERY responsive to customers!) I've read MANY great things about other wheel companies like Rushforth. I would have gone with another company if there were another style I liked well enough.

I did personally witness the lack of quality on Centerline wheels, though. I would not consider Centerline after seeing their poor machining quality.

So my wheel story continues.......... I take Tuesday off work because the tracker says my rear wheels should be here then. It changed to Wednesday, sooooo i'm off Wednesday anyway. Tracker says they are on the truck for delivery! YEAH!!!!!!!! Wait around all day, check tracker, pace, wait, pace, check tracker... pace wait..... you get the idea. About 4pm I check the track again. So I'll let the tracker tell the rest of the story... So close I could smell them.....
Now who knows... Another 5 months for Centerline to make my wheels the FedEx damaged? F**K!!!

Default So sorry for your loss

My heart truly goes out to you! I understand how frustrating this must be. I'm getting ready to order my Budniks and I sure hope I don't have the same frustration. (Jay, did you read that? hahahaha!) I can't even imagine how p1ssed you must be now having the fronts and no rear wheels. I wonder if they'd take the fronts back and give you all your money back?

I once heard someone say, "If it has t1ts or tires it will give you trouble." I have been married for over 20 years, and we have had some troubles but we're still together. Now, how many cars have I had? Probably more than 20.

They won't take em back now. All have been shipped and out of their hands. This time it was FED EX that f-ed up! But what makes me sick is
that I'll have to call Centerline and just even talk to them... Makes me cringe!!! And they will get around to fixing? Replacing? Or whatever they are going to do on their own sweet time i'm sure...

Sorry to here of your troubles with C/L. For future reference another good company to go with is Intro. I have owned a few sets and both were quick as far as custom wheels go and great quality.

Default Just a thought

Has anybody actually LOOKED at the wheels that were damaged? The damage may only be superficial. It could be that the boxes got beat to hell, but the wheels may be salvageable.
Maybe they need to send you a pic. You'd have to yell at a bunch of people to get fex ex to do anything, but a proper amount of pressure can get someone to move.

Even if the wheels are damaged, it may be easily repairable, and a hell of alot quicker than waiting till next year.

Just thinking.
