Well Darrell has been bugging me to quickly get some pictures up of his chassis since he is busy feeding the cows of Southern California.

I have the rear transaxle mount to redesign and relocate, I need to build the actual upper control arms and change the layout of the front lower control arm crossmember for the improved rack design. I had an idea for a lower brace to go under the exhaust that will be pretty bitchin.
Project Slow motion continues.
That is going to be a pretty nice chassis.
Looks like the 3 years of patience will pay off. Is that an LS9 he's runnin?
Should have posted this sooner,Rodger took my chassis to the LA Roadster Show and WOW this thing got a lot of attention.it was cool to watch people check it out, chassis looks bad azz, just want to put a seat on it and a steering wheel then go auto cross it.Car is coming along slowly but the main thing is we are making progress,we have a few more things to do to the chassis and then on to the body, have some cool ideas for the hood,as I'm writing this Rodger is on his way to Columbus with the chassis, wish I was going, want to say thanks to Rodger and the crew for all the great work, keep it up,thanks guys,I'm stoked( )how this is turning out
Figured I was a little late on the update for this project. But we have started on a custom hood idea Darrell had been dreaming about in slow motion.
Here is what we started with. Stock 2" cowl hood. It just was not doing for Darrel or I.
Then we brought in the 70 Chevelle project we are doing for Fairway Chevrolet in Las Vegas. Darrell was looking at the Chevelle parked next to it and thought man that hood would look awesome on this car. At first I thought Darrell was crazy, which he is....LOL.....LOL. But after some discussion about what it would take to actually pull this off well. It was decide to order a stock 70 Chevelle hood and cut it up. It was decided that it would be pretty cool to extend the hood all the way back to the windshield for a more modern car look and plus it would help with some or proportions we were not fully digging. So once we set the hood on this is what we have.
Of course the nose is really long but I did not link how far back the cowl bulge was. So knew shortening the nose would be a huge benefit. So we trimmed the nose off and built up the nose from poster board and painted it black.
We then decided that the first step up on the hood was too thick and needed to be thinned up. which would take some of the big nose look at the front of the car. Plus we were worried the modified Ring Brother hinges for the 67 nova would possibly allow the hood to hit the windshield when opening the hood. That's probably not good. So we moved the bolts back in the under hood structure and gave it a shot.
Amazingly enough it didn't. But we will be reshaping the front of the doors and the back of the fender to have shape more like a 1st gen Camaro or Chevelle. So we are progressing on SLOWLY.
