Mark and I have kind of the same taste when it comes to bling on Camaros. I have street rods for bling. I had different samples for paint including a current Camaro yellow but I just think 69 Daytona yellow just looks the best on a 69 to me. There are plenty of cars that will out show this car at a car show but what will they look like after you drive them for 10K miles ? I wanna drive this car and not spend the weekend detailing, polishing etc.
I think this car will "wow" pretty much anyone that looks at it. I have to say, I like some bling on a car, but once you drive one that actually drives and performs good, all you want to do is drive, so I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of having more than one at a time right now, so I pretty much have to roll everything into one car. I have had a lot of fun with mine, but the next one will be all business. Can't wait to see this car come together and actually see it in person! If you need me to go check the progress from time to time, or make sure no one is slackin, let me know, I'm close

Default Well you know I am a big fan of yellow

Took me 3 years to decide on which yellow to use. It came down to Chrome Yellow which is a Ford color and Viper Yellow. I chose Viper Yellow sprayed on a white base. The color really pops.

One of my friends growing up has a 69 SS, Daytona Yellow, beautiful car!

Charley,
Do you know which set of rims you are going to run? Will this car see the race track?

Hi Charlie, The whole idea of Yellow makes me smile. For years I have painted my vehicles Yellow and they always bring smiles to peoples faces. Some hate yellow but that's them.

Even the fastest Ferraris have been known to be Yellow and not Red. the privately raced Ferraris are either Black ,Yellow or White from the info I have seen.

It will be a beautiful car when done and maybe now as some have said, they just might start to have a reason to like it!

I look forward to seeing it in person someday next year !!!!

It will use the stock ZR1 wheel tire combo.

Default Ls9

We were promised the LS9 before Chistmas. So once we get that we can do the final mock up then go to paint the first part of Jan.

I'll post some pixs when we get the engine.

Mark.

Default simplicity works

Carlie I think your going in the right direction with the build keeping the low bling stock kinda feel. I kept the same approach with the Chevelle & it turned out awsome. I hope my 70 Camaro project is recieved as well as the Chevelle. Great project, any extra LS9'S laying around, would look good in my Camaro as well. LOL
