Hey Jay, Nice car, nice work,? on your replacement metal did you use AMD on all of it? I have heard nice things about AMD. I will be moveing back to NC after the first of the year, and will begin working on my 69, I am planning to do most of the tear down myself to save some clam$, I am impressed on the workmanship of Holohan's Shop, will definatly look him up, Thanks and keep the picks comming.

Dan uses Tig for 99% with everything he does. You can get the rods from most welding supply places.

I used AMD for everything. Its alot nicer than others and heavier gauge. I have a NOS trunk lid and bought an AMD and the AMD is heavier by a few lbs. Go check out Dan and his shop. Excellent work, sends pics constantly, great communication.

I am planning to pick it up Sat. Dan has done an excellent job and as he says..."I do it as if it were mine".

I will call you and see if you have anything going on Sat and want to meet up for lunch.

I have been in collision shops for 20 years . Never seen it used . Kinda sad really . I have cut parts off that use it good stuff .

Less heat ? I know it grinds easier than mig welding .

You are correct. Per Dan, it does use less heat and is easier to grind. I am not very familiar with it myself.
