Default Newbie w/ a G-body

Hi guys. I been lurking on this site for a long time and decided to sign up and shoot the sh8t with yall. lol I been in the car scene for awhile and my car is still the first car I owned. Its a 1984 Monte 427ci SBC, TH400, 9" rear end, and 10pt roll cage with full interior. I've been drag racing it ever since I put on a K&N filter. Now its time for a change, I'll be transforming it into a "street fighter". I'll still be taking it to the track, but like to have that clean modern look going down the drag strip. I hope to have some new wheels/tires by winter and hit the car shows by next year.

-Mark

Killer car man!! Very nice indeed! What is your plan as far as changes? To make it more of a street car and handle a bit better in the corners? You are off to a great start with that car.

Well, Im building on a budget. As far as changes go... not much. But later down the road I like to switch from nitrous to a turbo or supercharger. It's really up in the air right now. First thing is first, I need some wheels. lol

Look up in the members list above JayR. He is a designer and also has a really nice line of wheels. The prices are reasonable and there is alot of options for color and sizing. Rushforthwheels.com is his web site. I think you'll like what you find there. (actually there is a link in the sponsor column to the left side of the screen here right above the Vintage Air link)
