Default Looking for Help with Tires

I have a 66' Chevelle rag top and I just ordered a set of 18"/20" wheels. Now I need to find out which tire I can use in the rear that has the largest side wall.
The wheels are 20" x 10" and the car has Eibach lowering springs. I was thinking 275/35/20, can anyone post some pics of what they are using?

Thanks
Rob

If you want to be able to bury the tires up in the wheel wells you will not want to go any wider than a 275. I know there are a few guys on here running wider tires, but not on 20s. I have 275/40/18s on the back of our '66 and they never rub. 18" x 10" with 5.5 bs. Original 12 bolt with SSBC disc brakes. No body or wheel well mods. Not sure who offers the tallest tire for a 20" wheel, but watch the front of your wheel openings for quarter panel/tire clearance. If you get too tall of a tire you may see clearance problems there as well.

what's the back spacing on the wheels? Are you running OEM brakes? original rear end in the car? If not what's the length?

Default 275/55-20

My Silverado has 275/55-20 and they have 6" of sidewall. May be a little extreme for your car, but you said you wanted big sidewalls.

The car has a stock 10 bolt with stock drum brakes.

The BS is 5.75.

I had 275/40/17 on there before with plenty of room, and the tire was already sitting in the fender a little.
