Default 700R4 Yoke Question

So, since I had the transmission built for my '52 Chevy Truck, I had just stuck an old TH350 yoke into the tailshaft while painting it etc. We actually mocked up (cut and rewelded) an old driveshaft when fabbing the driveshaft loop etc, and I used this TH350 yoke for that.

Anyway, getting to my point. I measured and had a new driveshaft made for the truck and they informed me that a 700R4 yoke is longer. So they put a new yoke (the longer 700 type) onto the driveshaft. The issue I am having is that it won't go into the transmission as far as it is supposed to. I took the tailshaft off and it goes in to the point where the spline ends and then stops. I don't see how it could go in any further. I'll post some pics in just a few minutes so you can see what I'm talking about.

So, I guess I'm wondering what the deal is. Do I have an odd 700R4 or are there different output shaft in the 700R4 family that take different yokes. The TH350 yoke fits just fine, but I want to make sure I am running the right part.

Thanks for any help. Again, I'll get pics up in just a second.
