1968 camaro 18x10 backspacing

Will have it mini tubed but got a good deal on a 18x10 rear wheels. Have air ride and need them to tuck. What backspacing should I have?

Wouldn't that depend on your rearend width?

We're going to need the pros to jump in here. I'm gonna say between 5 and 5.5" but you really should get a dead on measurement.

5-5.5" would be ideal for a 9 with a 275mm tire in a stock wheelwell so add at least an inch to that to fit the additional inch of wheel and maybe a hair more to handle some extra tire width and sidewall bulge for the larger tire and the tuck the Ride-Tech will provide. And since these are 45 year old subframe cars made on multiple assembly lines that you're now modifying, it's a good idea to take a few measurements beforehand.

I have a 19x10 w/275 tire on my 67. I'm about to pull them off to get the car cleaned up to sell, can give you some backspace measurements tomorrow if no one gets back to you before then.
