Default Pool.. Plaster vs. Pebble tech

Looking for feedback on those who prefer Pebble tech vs Plaster. I have never been in a Pebble Tech but I am told it is the new way to go. I just started looking for a future overall and like most things it is an eye opener on cost. I got a quote for 20-24K which included Pebble Tech, new tile and stone coping (leaving current decks). It is a rectangle 40' x 20' plus raised spa. Makes me think I will leave it for another few years.

Pebble Tech is awesome. But leaves a water line in the darker color pools. And get the smaller pebbles so its not as rough on the bottoms of your feet.

Default Pool plaster

Money cost levels

Plaster.

Quartz plaster : should be like 20% - 30% more than plaster

Pebble Tec

Pebble Sheen: should be like 45% - 55% more than plaster

Primera stone - (polished) (hydrazzo)

Beadekrete

Wet edge

Same as "Pebble" products

Ask about adding abalone shell .. It looks very "blingy". Looks good under night led lights

I've had em both.

The pebble tec would be my choice, the only complaints (at the old house) i got from the kids and some of our friends was that it was/is hard on their feet, i got rid of the kids and didn't invite the friends back lol.

The pool i have now is plaster, a little bit of modeling (blotchyness) after 13 years, but if i had it to do over, i would do either pebble tec or pebble sheen (it was a 5k upgrade in '03)
