Description: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS-350 Coupe.
Two tone paint, GM pewter metallic over BMW orient blue pearl. Painted in 2003, over a solid, all steel body with a steel cowl induction hood.
The engine block (L48 350 4-bolt mains, bored .060 over) is one digit off from the VIN number, but is thought to be original to the car. It has a forged eagle 400 stroker crank shaft making this engine’s displacement 388 cubic inches, Eagle “ESP” H-beam 6.000” connecting rods, Wiseco pro-tru flat top pistons, Comp cams XR288HR XTREME Energy Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Cam, Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rocker Arms, AFR (Air Flow Research) aluminum 195 cc heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake manifold, AED (Advanced Engine Design)Holley 750 HP HO Series carburetor, Pertronix billet distributor, Pertronix coil and Pertronix Second Strike ignition box, Moroso seven quart “kick-out” oil pan with windage tray, Edelbrock aluminum water pump, Hooker 1-5/8” headers and March aluminum serpentine pulleys. The heads and main caps are held in place with ARP studs. The dyno sheets from Comp Cams and AFR show a maximum of 503 horsepower and 517 pound feet of torque at the flywheel. The engine was assembled in November of 2007 and has less than 3,000 miles since installation and tuning was completed. The compression ratio is only 9.5:1. It starts easily and runs cool.
The transmission is the original Muncie M-20 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst Street Super Shifter and a Hay’s clutch disk and pressure plate. The drive shaft has a pair of new heavy duty U-joints.
The rear end is a 12-bolt posi-track unit with 3:73 gears. The suspension includes PST poli-graphite bushings, Hotchkis leaf springs in the back and Hotchkis coil springs in the front, lowering the car approximately 2 inches. It has a Hotchkis 1-1/8” hollow sway bar and KYB shocks.
Wheels are 15” x 8” Mini-Lite racing wheels (I have the center caps if you prefer the car with them on) with 255/60R15 BF Goodrich tires in the rear with 235/60R15’s in the front with no rubbing front or rear.
The interior, for the most part is a stock standard black interior in good condition, although it needs new carpet ( I might replace the carpet unless it sells quickly). There are a few aftermarket gauges added and a pair of Corbeau seats and retractable harnesses.
Other small details include a new Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation brake booster, and master cylinder and stainless steel hard lines. Hotchkis sub-frame connectors. The front disk and rear drum brakes are basic factory stock style items. This is a great looking strong running, well maintained muscle car.
