Love the flat black centers Jon........I can see what you were talking about with the black on black look when I was ordering my wheels.

Thanks everyone!
Believe me, there are A LOT of haters out there. I can't tell you how many older men and women (traditionalists) walked by the car starring at it and shook their heads. But there were a lot of people that liked it too... and I like pushing the envelope. 5 years ago wheels with rivets were a big no no, and they are way more accepted today. I remember the first set of Budniks that I powder coated and how that was a no no, and look at the market now... the majority of the wheels we sell are powder coated or brushed.

My painter will be done with the car on Sunday. The car is two tone, with a red roof and trunk, and the red just wasn't the right shade, so now with it being HOK Candy Apple Red, it will match much better. Then my tint guy will tint the windows, and then our interior guy can get going on the custom stitch work. Should be a nice Drverz car when its done. And believe me, I'll be driving this car everywhere.

I'm hoping by March 2009 at the Goodguys in Orange County to have the new motor, trans, and everything else done and ready for the show season. We'll be working hard until then.

Thanks for the compliments on the wheels everyone. I'll be sure to post a photo of the exterior of the car as soon as I'm a little happier with it.

I like the Red/Black wheel. I am doing the same thing only with blue and black for my blazer. Only mine will probably be on this wheel:

Looks awesome to me, more modern. Of course you're going to have haters. My dad will hate it I am sure of it
