I'm glad someone finally took this on and really thought about the issues involved with law enforcement. These people NEED to have the most up-to-date tech for daily activities, extreme situations and their own safety. Retro-fitting existing large sedans has always been such a "bandaid" idea.

Thats actually going to be powered by a diesel with 300hp & 420lbs torque. 0-60 in around 6 flat & 155mph top speed. It has rear suicide doors too-very innovative.

My other company (www.garageplus.org) builds cop cars and other safety vehicles.

Most of the fleet managers I have talked to have no interest in buying them. They have now been able to confirm how warranty items would work and replacement equipment.

Another concern is most cop cars up here are rotated out after about 120,000 to 140,000 KM. How do you decommission a car and sell it at auction when ALL of the high tech gear and lighting is part of the car.

Others said that giving the cops that much HP has bitten them in the ass before, cops tend to think they are part of Nascar and drive the cars beyond their abilities.

We put some pretty state of the art gear in these cars everyday.

It will be interesting with Ford saying they are FINALLY going to cancel the Crown Vic in 2011 (supposed to be 2009)

Looks like the Tahoe is going to be the car of choice as a replacement.

Minnesota Troopers, and other MN agencies, are using Crown Vics, Tahoes, and Chargers. The complaint with Chrysler products is the visibility - poor compared to the Tahoes and Crown Vics.

We do like 99% Crown Vics, only one city hear has 2 chargers and they sit because the cops won't drive them. No interior room, no trunk room and the blind spots are stupid.

We also do alot of Ford SUV's
