Now we have the arctic equivalent to Bonneville speedweek. Instead of running on the saltflats in Utah this is run on ice on a frozen lake up in the north. Timing is on 1 kilometre with one km to accelerate and another km to brake. So it is a big lake. Advantage of ice is totally flat surface.
A lot of crazy vehicles and the worst of the is a garden tractor with a Kawasaki 900cc engine, geared to make 150 mph!
Short wheelbase made it hard to drive so they didn't reach fullspeed but fast enough.
