Am looking for fit info on Hedman shorty headers or Patriot clipster headers. Pics of install if available, and if there were any fitting problems.

Thanks
Paul

Default headers

I ran Hedman Elites. (Mid lenths) They fit perfect!!! No massaging needed.. The only reason I removed them is because I swapped my auto trans for a manual.

Default Shorty headers

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but what engine are you using? LS1? I may have missed something earlier on. I used so direct replacement shorty headers for a 1998-2002 Camaro for the conversion in my 1973 Camaro. Hope I'm helping?

Not a dumb question at all. I should've put that info in my first post. I am interested in using shorty headers with a Gen 1 small block chevy engine. Am concerned about whether the headers would foul on the linkage from the automatic trans to the steering column. This linkage locks the steering wheel from turning with the trans in park. Some header companies indicate that this linkage needs to be removed or modified to use headers but I'm trying to find a shorty set that avoids this.

Thanks for any help with this

Running Hedman Elite shorties on Gen I sbc on a 70 1/2 F Body. I'm running a manual (hydro clutch) and trimmed the linkage tab. Eyeballing it I would guess it would clear OK
