I just recently bought a 72 longbed c10 for the cab. I have the frame and body panels left. I was wanting to sell them and try and recoup some of my money, but I am unsure what to ask for the rest. It is a roller frame with 5 lug bolt pattern and disc brake front. The front fenders and hood are in decent shape, but the bed is rough. If you guys could help me come up with a asking price I would appreciate it.
The 5-lug stuff could help off-set costs if you can wait for the right individual. Open market price? Here in N.Tx, maybe $150 for the front & about the same for the rear (unless it's posi & then you might get a little more); maybe. It would take the right guy @ the right time.
The LWB frame will only get you the going rate of scrap steel. I recently purchased a swb frame & the guy had a lwb frame as well. He had been trying to sell it but had no luck. I inquired about it & he tried to sell it to me as well.... I left w/the frame for free. He didn't have to look @ it taking up shop space & I got a cheap frame to practice the mods I had been planning vs. trying it on a higher value swb frame.
If the sheetmetal is decent, you might get $50 ~ 100 per fender. If the bed floor is decent, you could make some $$ by separating the bedsides from the floor & cutting it down to swb dimensions for re-sale.
