Default Corvette spindles

Are the spindles on a C5 and C6 corvette the same. I have c6 spindles on my camaro and am looking at running C5 brakes because brand new brembo's aren't in the budget

My buddy put c6 z06 brakes on his c5 z06 with no mods, so I would think they are the same. You could look into the c6 z06 brakes because I'm pretty sure they are significantly cheaper then the aftermarket Baer, Brembo, Willwood etc kits.

i know aftermarket brakes for c6's are really expensive but i dont know how much the stock brakes would cost. i've seen some for a c5 that were like 500 for the rotor, caliper and pads which is like half of the aftermarket ones

This is what my buddy bought. You can get the package for under 2000.

C5 - C6 brakes are the same
C6 .. Z06 are bigger but are a bolt on
You need to run a 18in or bigger front wheel with the C6 Z06 brakes

Technically, the C5 and C6 knuckles are different part numbers due to minor revisions for strength and rigidity improvemnts, however for the purpose of brakes, they are the same with respect to relative mounting points.

Keep in mind that the C6 Corvettes use the same knuckle for each of the various brake options, so whether you go with the base level 325mm/305mm C5/C6, 340mm/330mm C6 Z51, 355mm/340mm C6 Z06, or carbon/ceramic C6 ZR1 setups, they're all bolt-on options. Our adapter kits mimic a C5/C6 knuckle mounting points, hence our ability to provide the various kits without changing the hubs, brackets, etc with every variation.

I was worried about clearence. Im probably running 18's but want to be able to through on 15 in wheels for drag racing. Is there any chance i could fit 12's on a 15 inch wheel? i doubt it but i figured its worth asking

No chance. It's 17" minimum drag radials or nothing with 305mm [12"] C5/C6 brakes in the back.
