Default Flush mount door handles...Opinions?

Well I have been trying to decide what door handles to use on my 68....I decided to cut out the handles from a 1994 Olds Aurora, here they are after being welded in place....So give me your opinions, What do you think?...remember they will be painted to match body color!

Also a pic of the smoothed firewall and cowl!

I think the firewall looks great. But for some reason I don't "feel" the handles. Maybe it's the lines on them are so different than anything on the car? I am really not sure. They just don't look at all like they belong there. The rest of the car is looking really good!

I agree and I THINK in the end it will end up making the car look dated.

they don't look bad at all, can't say the same about the welds, I hope you finish with solid welds, also I would have trimmed the donor piece about 1-1.5 inches around the handle instead of rectangular cut

They look ok but the muscular door handles is one of the many things I like about a first gen and old car in general. They remind me of my C5 vette door handles and they always felt cheap cheap cheap.

To each his own......I'm with Vegas on this one....I still like the vintage looking handles. Hope it looks great to you since you'll be the one looking at it daily. Takes some b*lls to post it up for others to critique ....kudos to you

They are the same ones as on C5s and at least a couple dozen other mid-90s GM cars which was a low point for GM styling and the fact that they retired them means even they know they were less than great designs.
