Default Need info on sterring box replacement!

I plan on upgrqading to a 12:1 ratio steering box in my 72 Chevelle. I'm upgrading the suspension.

What do you recomend and what are you using? Should I just refurbish and convert the old 16:1 box, or buy one from Flaming River or somone else?

Thanks

Dan

If you can swing it, I highly recommend DSE's "600-series" steering box. I installed one on my car this year after my long-abused fast ratio box out of an 87 IROC died; the DSE box has *excellent* weight and feel through the steering wheel. It's also a bit lighter.

Dan, here's the Link to Marquez Design and Fabrication. They're a site sponsor and carry the full line of Detroit Speed products, plus they're a great bunch of guys to deal with.
