Looking through some porsche mags today and saw an extinguisher mount that might be usable for some of you.

and several different mount styles here:

Whatever you do, make sure it's somewhere you can grab it fast! Noone thinks they will ever use them. I've used one on mine. Mess is an understatement. I got away with no sustainable damage. But that requires a handy extinguisher.

I have mine mounted almost the same position as Steve's. If I had to grab it belted in there would be no way. I'd have a multiple of bad issues going on if I need it, could not get unbelted and my fire system did not work so I don't know if it would matter. (full fire system: engine compartment and fuel tank area discharge) However, I have thought for track purposes maybe mounting somewhere that I could grab fully belted in would be wise. ie. cross bar behind seats, I think I could grab it mounted between the seats?
Then logic would say it should be at the ready for street driving as well??

I just meant don't put it in the trunk or some other spot where it's work to get to it. More than likely it will be a fire under the hood or bottom of the car. There is always the chance of an electrical fire under the dash as well.
