Details for the Cruise Route as follows:

Wanting to take advantage of that rare time of year when the surrounding hills are actually green instead of brown (hoping that still to be true by beginning of April), we wanted to incorporate something scenic and somewhat fun to drive (not a lot of options in the midst of the ever sprawling concrete jungle!) so have opted for a short 80 mile jaunt through South Orange County's Cleveland National Forest and the 2 lane roads of Ortega Highway.

The route as planned starts mostly with surface streets from El Toro to Hwy 74 (5 freeway south to the East Ortega Hwy exit can also be used if a shorter/quicker option if desired). We then cross over the mountain and drop down into Lake Elsinore, where the route then runs parallel to the 15 freeway north along Temescal Canyon Road. Eventually we're forced to engange the 15 freeway north and the eventual termination of the journey at the Spectre Performance offices and shop (Note; again, a more direct 15 Freeway option is available starting in Lake Elsinore for those that just love the Southern California freeway experience......... less stop lights, less twisty roads......... can't promise that's it's less traffic though). As for traffic........ seems it's always busy on the weekends in So Cal, so wouldn't expect that Easter day would be any different, all we can hope is that being early enough in the day (beleive the plan is to leave El Toro area around 10AM?.......... will post better timeline details as they develop) that a 2 1/2 to 3 hour tour is do-able.

Route Map Attached.

For those with trailers, it's about a 45 minute to 1 hour drive (traffic permitting) taking the more direct I5 freeway route ( 5 freeway north to the 57 north, 57 merges with the 60 east, exit Vinyard offramp..... you can contact me directly.... [email protected] for better details or they will also be available both Saturday and Sunday AM). For those that are flying out and haven't already made arrangements, we're approximately 5 minutes from the Ontario airport and would be happy to provide transportation if needed. For those on the West Coast staying for other events, your welcome to park your rig with ours in our enclosed yard that now offers video survellence (sometimes you learn the hard way).

Food, drink and plenty of parking. Looking forward to seeing everyone and anyone that can make it.

We have a '67 Barracuda headed down to join Mike P. at the event. Martz rear chassis, Alter-k-Tion front end, 408 ci small block.

I hear there are only 10 spots left....looks like my conv't is selling this week- maybe in time to score the new one & lock in a spot?

Yeah come join the fun Jason...if yours is sold, then just take one of the cars in the shop for a "test drive".

Hi Bill. I noticed the website 'www.octaneforyourbrain.com' is no longer available. Has registration closed for Saturday? If registration is still open, how can I register? I'm not able to trailer my car in(I'll have to drive it from San Diego) so I can't run it as hard(or as fast) as some of the other guys here, but I'd still like to participate and contribute to the event.

Thanks!

The registration website was back online this evening so I was able to register for Saturday. I look forward to participating and seeing all the truly great rides out there. Hopefully the car will hold up and I don't have to push it back to San Diego.
