Default New shop camera ..... suggestions please

Finlay I broke down and bought a new shop camera because man my current one has been through alot for the past few years. So I picked up a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, played with it over the weekend and man it awesome but not sure what else I can do with it to get more out of it in my pics. It has a 18-55mm lens and end filter. I take up close pics of truck parts and over all truck pics. Someone suggested a "fish eye" lens? Said it will help for what I do, I saw a couple pics with it and they looked great.

I have no idea about cameras so this thing is 20+ steps further than what I understand, help!!!

For what you want to do check out the Nikon D5000 with a 18-200 Nikon lense. Yes, the lense is more than the camera but you get what you pay for. PS - don't forget a 72MM clean lense filter as a protector.
