69 camaro 4-speed Center console - woodgrain ew..

hey guys i wanted to do something with my 69 camaro's woodgrain section of the 4-speed center console.

my first idea was to order those carbon fiber sheets and just layer it over the stock center console where the fake woodgrain decals are...

has anybody already done this? or something else similar? results? pics?

I havent seen overlays, but I have seen many with custom inserts made from aluminum.

I would check if Anvil Auto has any plans to make a carbon fiber one.
