Default I'm just Larkin around....

Well here is a little piece that I picked up and decided to build for myself I had one once before it was a 64 and I needed the cash that I had tied up into the 64 so I had to let it go. You don't see too many of these around these parts I always built Chevelles but hey....this is still an A-Body!!

Its a 65 it had 13x7 wire wheels on it when I bought it and me not knowing anything about the damn wheels I thought they came off like conventional lugnuts and I was tightening them instead of loosening them...ughhhhh!! Has bucket seats, GS center console, the car had some electrical issues when I got it none of he lights worked and it was all "rigged" up but I got it running pretty good it has the 300 motor but ut has the bigger of the which is the 250HP 4 bbl version with the 2-speed, so it can lay a "peg leg" patch of rubber . So here is what I am starting with

I got her home and started cleaning a bit... found some rust in the trunk which will require a new pan but not to worry I have the one from my 64 that I never installed

Little bit of rust...

Plans for the car entail

4-wheel disc brake conversion
Fix rust in trunk
Install power windows
Install push to start
Rechrome bumpers
Clean frame (not frame off)
Thinking about shaving my door handles (had them done on all my previous cars)
Install 4L60 with adapter plate

This is going to be a daily driver so it will be done as I drive the vehicle I will keep pics posted.

I can explain it, it is because Skylarks have great lines. I really like it. How cool would it be if you could hit the 3 wheel motion on the autocross.

Thanks man the lines are pretty distinctive, I can't wait to start diggin into it, I have started looking for a replacement motor and trans setup for it already. I have slowly been acquiring my suspension rebuild kit for it to.
