Have you noticed how the marketing push for holidays starts earlier every year? School has not even started yet here. The local stores are already displaying halloween crap.

By the way, did this year seem to fly right past so far for anyone else?

Seems to be the worse the economy gets, the sooner stores try to get people thinking about buying gifts. This year went by way to quickly, feels like I just put the snowblower away.

I know what you mean. It seems to me my son just started his summer break.
We have only had a few weeks of real summer type weather, now fall is almost here.
Seeing the Halloween & Thanksgiving display really threw me for a loop.
