Default OEM Steering Column to Floor Cover VS. Swivel Floor Mount

What should I use?? OEM Steering Column to Floor Cover or a Flaming River Swivel Floor Mount??

I'm swapping a Camaro 1999 dash into a 1969 Camaro. I will be using the 1999 column and I've cut off the floor/firewall mount bracket on the 1999 Steering Column, so that the bare shaft remains. Both columns are the same diameter at the bottom of the column. Which brace should I use?? I will be mounting the top end of the column shifted about 3/4" toward the passenger side from the stock location. And I'm planning to use the stock location for the bottom.

What are the benefits of using a swivel mount instead of the stamped steel two piece OEM style?

Also, the top mount for the steering column will be mounted to a 1-5/8" bar under the dash, so the column will be secured, no doubt about it!!
