Default Ridetech spindles w/Speedtech arms

Thinking about going ahead with at least the beginnings of the Ridetech TruTurn setup for my build. Starting with the spindles so I can get the ride height mocked up. Anything to be concerned about as far as using these spindles with the Speedtech control arms?

Clear 17" wheels I assume?

17" wheels are a tight fit. We've found in general that a 17" billet wheel will fit, but many cast 17" wheels will not. The difference is the thicker hoop section of the cast wheel. The billet wheels seem to use a thinner spun aluminum hoop section that will clear the outer tie rod end.

I have VWW V40 which have the aluminum hoops. Sounds like maybe they'll clear. Guess I'll give Matt's a call soon.

Now I just gotta convince myself to go Chicane w/Ridetech singles. Surely somebody needs a QA1 ProCoil setup

OK SO thanks to Matt's and Ridetech my spindles came super fast. Look like a nice quality piece. I had a few minutes last night to throw one on and see how it fit.

First, there's no way I'd have been happy with the ride height without the extra 2" these drop spindle provide. So that is a big plus.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the tall spindle causing the UCA to be crazy high at ride height. Obviously this is expected to a degree. I'm not sure if it is because of the design of the Speedtech arm or what. I'm guessing from a geometry perspective it is probably fine. Just that it sits up really high and I'm thinking it might get into the inner fender. Maybe I need their high clearance UCAs that are more of a flat design.

I'll try to get some pics.

You will have no issues with the inner fender,
The hiclearance arms would have been a better option.

Thanks Blake! I may try and give you a call about the high clearance setup. I wasn't sure if they'd work with an OE sub. I haven't noticed them listed as a separate product on the site. I did notice last night that Chuck may be running them on his Nova.

Yeah, it seems if you change one thing it all snowballs. I didn't originally plan on the tall drop spindles. There's a lot to be said for springing for a complete front Speedtech subframe assembly or similar. Lot more value there than meets the eye when you consider it is a proven package not only with respect to performance but also fitment.
