Default C6 splindle ball joint

Hello,
I'm building a custom set of control arms using the OEM Z06 spindles and hubs.

Upper arm ball joint comes with the stock spindle.

I would need to find a good ball joint ( + sleeve ) to fabricate the lower arms.

Any help on what style of ball joint (bolt-in, press-in, screw-in) to use and where to buy good stuff ?

Hey Paolo,

Not sure how far you want to go with this, but Howe makes a racing lower BJ for the C6 spindle:

You could also call Howe directly and ask for a factory replacement.

Yes. Pfadt rebrands the part, but as you'd imagine Howe does the manufcturing in bulk and sells the lot to Pfadt.

You know me Dave-O, I asked Howe to sell it to me and that was a no-go. Makes sense.

I never did it before. So I guessed that spending few bucks to purchase a sleeve will worth the hassle..

what is the rule of thumb for a press in ball join ? I mean, what tickness I have to consider as acceptable interference surface ?

Since the Corvette spindle is Aluminum it is thicker than a steel spindle in the tapered socket. I would stick with a C5 or C6 ball joint, others would probably be too short in the taper. The upper a arm socket is .790" deep.
Corvette lower ball joint hole in lower A arm is 1.045" thick. I don't have a stock Corvette spindle to measure the lower ball joint socket depth but I do have the LG Racing billet spindle which is 1.525"
