Default First Classic - Hey Guys!

Hey guys/gals I'm in the process of receiving my first classic car, a 1968 Camaro! My first car was american and since then I've been addicted to BMW's, both street and race cars. I got out of car racing a few years ago and made the switch over to kart racing, what a blast.

Anyway the wife also loves classic cars so we figured now is the time. My Camaro is being picked up from CA today and should arrive to me early next week!

As soon as I take delivery I plan on doing a photo shoot so I'll post some pics then. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you and hitting up a bunch of events to get to know everyone.

For now here is a pic from the seller:

Cya around!

Welcome,

Glad to see the car stay in the Lat-g family.

The BMW wheels were the hook huh!?

That car has a great and unique look and the owner is a great guy to boot!

Where's the car going to reside?

Sieg, you know the car and owner? Nice! I'm sure I'll be asking a boat-load of questions in the near future. I already have a lot of parts picked out to slowly order, haven't quite decided on a motor setup but I know it'll be supercharged that's for sure. I'm a road race guy so those are the type of parts that'll be ordered.

Kinda funny, I did notice the BMW wheels right off the bat

I'm just north of Atlanta.

The previous owner is one of the gang here.

Toss in an LSA motor with close ratio T56 Magnum, serious brakes, good front geometry, serious shocks, tub the rear for decent sized tires, Recaro's, cage, and, and, and..........

Check the stickies at the top of the Chassis and Suspension forum written by Ron Sutton, lots of good handling information there. Numerous ways to make them carve corners for any reasonable or unreasonable budget.

Oh, you didn't throw the drums back on at the last minute huh?

Matt - Looking forward to your journey.

Hopefully JerDawgy doesn't disappear into some straightliners forum....

Nice! I'm up in your neck of the woods all the time. I run up at AMP a lot, including their race series.

He might, but I'm sure whatever he decides to build will be quick!
