Default Torque Arm for 55 chevy

I'm building a no frills pro-touring /Autocross 55 Chevy 2dr post car I'm hearing from the circle track people around me that a torque arm suspension would be the best set up for low cost and simplicity.I'm hoping someone has done one or something slimmer I have a 8.8 ford rear In it now I'm planing on using I'm just not sure if I should use a f-body kit or something for the 8.8 Rear
Thanks Any advice is much appreciated

If you have an 8.8 and want to stay with it then the mustang guys are going to be your source for a prefabbed torque arm. Griggs and Cortex come to mind. They both use cast aluminum diff covers to mount a watts link as well. After the torque arm is bolted up to the rear end, the rest of the mounting and fab work will be up to you.

My money is on Cortex with being able to help you sort out the rest of the attachement points.
