Those guys are pretty good though. We had a $50,000 reserve on a 67 GTO a few yeas ago, they started trying to get us to drop the reserve when the bid was at $35,000. My partner said "If I do, you'll hammer it and move on". He said he had 3 guys on it and wouldn't do that... We dropped the reserve and they worked it for another 5 minutes after the car had rolled off the stage...ended up with about $45,000 out of it when it was all said and done.

There are some real car guys over there to, it should do well.
good call!!
it ain't their money!

Car didn't meet reserve. hi bit was only 67,000.
after being there for the week the crowd was a little older and the car I think was maybe to radicle, in the traditional PT sense. maybe if it had a set of Foose Legends and the ride height adjusted up 3 " it would have brought the reserve. WHO KNOWS. but like I said previously I didn't take it to give it away the reserve was reasonable.
No biggie it's still for sale

I was at BJ the last 3 days, and you are right on the money. Ring Brothers mustang went for like $150K I think and anything that was attempting to be a PT car with bad stance and (foose/TT/17"cragars) went for 100K+.

Yea honestly what is UPWITDAT???
there had to have been 15 67-69 Camaros at Russo all with those wheels and no stance....
next time I build a car to sell that is what it is getting I will just put someone ELSES name on the owner sheet

I took my old Nova to the local Mecum auction (January 2008) ... same thing. Stalled out around $65K, and I'm not sure that was even real money.

1.5 years later and the car went for $175K at B-J.

4 years after that and the car went for $150K at B-J.

Moral of the story: go where the money is.
