Default Spare wheel/tire?

So what are you guys using for spare wheel/tire? Since I switched to C6 Z51 brakes, my spare tire no longer fits. Have looked at CTS 18" compact spares on ebay, and boy those are expensive.

Any suggestions?

AAA ?

Seriously, I was wondering about this too. Fortunately, for now, I have stock disc brakes so I'm Ok to use just about anything.

Will it fit the larger Z51 brake? I guess I'll just have to order one and find out.

New camaro steel 18" wheels make for cheap fullsize spare. I Have a full set i bought with tires from a 2010 for mock up, from Craigslist for $125.

Fits my C5 setup without issue, not sure if there is dimensional diffs in the caliper between the C5 & C6 tho? Tobin could prob verify that for you tho

I have the Z51 option which is slightly larger in diameter compared to a "regular" C5/C6 brake.

I had a 2" Spacer made and the GTO spare which worked great till I put the Giant Grand Torismo Brakes (bigger then zl1) on my car.

If anyone want the my old set up I would sell it for $225.00
