Default Wheel Selection Help 1971 Chevelle

Hey Guys, haven't really posted here much as I was previously setup more for the drag strip. I have now started to convert over to more of a pro tour/auto cross setup.

Looking to see what my options are for some new wheels. I was thinking 18's all around or possibly 18's up front and 19's in the rear with some Pilot Power Super Sports. Something that will perform the best without a rubberband tire

Just installed all new UMI Tubular Upper/lower control arms, UMI Double adjustable uppers in the rear, boxed lowers, Viking Double adjustable shocks, 2" lowering springs, Front/Rear Sway bars and new ball joints. The handling improved tenfold and now I need the wheels/tires to finish it off.

This is how the car currently sits, any thoughts and pictures of setups would be appreciated. I do not have it tubbed and dont plant to.

Thanks! Brandon

Brandon, I know this is a definitive answer, but with the sizes you've chosen...18's or 19's, you have a plethora of choices and "rubber band" tires is null and void with the size of a Chevelle's wheel wells. Thinner side walls are only for sure if you're trying to squeeze 19 on a Kia or Honda Civic, not a Chevelle.

Thanks for the reply, I kind of figured that, but not sure on what backspacing will allow for what...would like the tallest, widest tire allowable. Whole new world to me....im a 15" 275/60/15 guy lol.
