Default Speedtech is hiring...

Not sure if this is the right area to post this so please relocate as needed...

Can you lay down a beautiful and strong weld and enjoy working in a fun and fast paced production environment? Or can you build awesome Pro Touring cars from the ground up? Can you do show quality body and paint work? Do you absolutely love cars and the Pro Touring movement? Then we've got a position for you!

We are currently hiring experienced welders to help in our manufacturing department, welding cool stuff from control arms to complete chassis systems. We both MIG and TIG weld our products, and beauty is as important as strength and quality.

Our Speedtech Rod Shop is overbooked and we need to higher another experienced technician to help keep up with our schedule. We're looking for the type of builder that can do most all of the work on restorations, resto-mods, and full Pro Touring race cars. We need someone who is familiar with the care of $100,000+ vehicles, has a positive attitude, and has a great attention to detail.

We're also in the market for another body and paint expert, someone who can handle sheet metal replacement, custom and repair body work, and someone who can lay down show quality paint.

If you're bored of your current job, are sick of the cold weather, want to locate to beautiful south western St. George, Utah and be only 1.5 hour drive from car events in Las Vegas and a few hours from SoCal, love cars and the Pro Touring industry, and any of the above descriptions fit you, send your resume now to [email protected], and give Blake a call at 435-628-4300!

I can vouch for him having some mechanical skills. I've seen him swap out the engine on a B1 in an hour. Not sure how that applies, but he can do it.

Mike-Can't see why not. We're a long way from you though, my mother in law also lives in Derby. I've driven it and that's a good long drive to work everyday, lol! Seriously though if you are looking to relocate out west, about half of St George is retired folks, and many of them make up the local hot rod scene, so you'd fit right in.

Go ahead and give Blake a shout, he's the one to chat with. 435-628-4300

Sounds good Mike.

St. George is an awesome place, some of the perks living here- it's beautiful here, we're in a valley so although it's a fairly large area it feels more like a small secluded town. Both mountains and red bluffs surround us and there's lots of national parks with beautiful landscape withing a couple hours. Photos here It's warm from Feb to early December here, is usually in the mid-high 30s during the worst part of "winter" and not too many rainy days.

We also have regular local drag racing by Blackrock Motorsports on an old airport strip throughout the year and both the Las Vegas and the Salt Lake City SCCA does autocross events here. There are several car shows as well for those that like to park in the grass. Bonneville salt flats is about 4 hours north and Vegas is only about 1.5 hours away for a big NHRA drag strip and monthly autocross events, or for those that like to play the Vegas way.

Default Hi Ben

Hi Ben. I spent time at a shop over there that specialized in high end pro-mod cars a bit over 10 years ago now. If getting a green card wasn't such a struggle I would be beating your door down already. cheers. Trevor from Queensland. P.S. I don't think you guy's could handle another mad Australian.

Lol! Nah, we love you guys, you actually know how to do a proper burnout! Jay keeps tabs of what's happening in autosports at home and shows me video clips of racing and such that you guys do. It makes us Americans look like a bunch of pansies. It would be fun to have another Aussie in house.
