Well said as always Todd.

Boys, boys! Can we please discuss something more important, like what the best color is?

....submited by a BUYER of the best color car.

Hey guys I confess. It was a troll post. Trolling the stupid article.

I figure what better way to make an introduction than a couple of atomic wedgies. I hope you got a chuckle.

Anyhow. I’ve been here for a while, since 2010 dropping in and out but not posting as much. I have a 67 & a 69 Camaro/both unfinished. I’ve been stuck in AZ/Scottsdale for the last 6 years. Finally moving back to Orange County soon where my family, friends and Cars are at. I race Spec racer fords in SCCA. I keeping my car in TX for the 2016 season to race with friends. Planning on making it to the Runoffs at Mid Ohio this year.

It’s been a while since I ran a PT event. Since RTTC II when we ran the shop 67 Camaro. That article was divisive and full of girl purse swinging drama. (I should know I have two daughters). I can’t recall any of that going on back a couple of years ago. I hope it’s not going on now.

So you built your car. Sweet. So you bought your car. Awesome! All I care about is if you can drive the damn thing because I know a couple of Spec Miatas who will give you a run for your money. LOL!

Cheers!

Corey

In response....built or bought...that is a touchy one I see...not everyone has the skill set to build, just like not every one has money to buy...so in my mind we should be doing both together..I was lucky enough to have uncles and friends to learn from my old man didn't have the skill-set to build, but he was one HELL of a great marine and took a few bullets in Vietnam for us and I remember him asking me to help him with his Mustang, so side by side I imparted a little knowledge to my old man, thats how it should be, I'm proud as a guy who builds cars to have someone that respects our industry enough to lay out the money to support another builder and join our car culture..thats the greatest compliment EVER! that dude could spend that damn cash anyway he wants, he could buy a boat, motorcycle, windsurfer, hookers, what the **** ever, but he chooses to buy a car and join us! rock on man! I will have a beer with that dude any time, I built mine, I built some for friends, I'm building another now for my girlfriend, and now I'm luckier than HELL to build for a living, WE ARE ALL CAR GUYS, my Pops will never be the builder I am and I will never be the Marine he is, when you meet a car guy that bought his car .....admire it for the vision it is between builder and buyer and remember, some garage guy built it, somewhere and that is what we all do....

Hi Rod!!

It much like what my father told me when i was young. You can either take the time, spend the money to learn and buy the required tools it takes to do the job or take the time to work and earn the money that it will require to pay someone to do it for you.

My thoughts are if you want something, match your skill set to own it. Whether you buy it or build it if its something you enjoyed good for you. Car lover is a car lover either way.

I don't know why our species has the deep desire to divide each other even when we have the same interest. May be the insecurity that one feels when something bought is better that something built. Ego's aside. Man up enjoy life.

Man this build/bought argument will never die. I love the build, probably more then the finished product, that is why I will always do the work myself.

I can not do interior work, if I have a shop do it, I am less of a builder? I don't think so, no one can do everything. The level of these cars is so through the stratosphere, even the top shops, send stuff out to be done.

I love a buyer with deep pockets, that has a shop take a car to the next level. Thank God their are guys in the country that can still afford to have wicked rides built or bought. Hope it never stops.
