Default How rare? 67 SS Nova red/red, 327/4 spd, AC, 12 bolt

I don't know Novas but my friend is getting a lot of interest in his 67 Nova even though he's not trying to sell it. This has him wondering what's so special about the car.

The car is a 1967 SS with the 275hp 327 and 4 speed drive train. Red body with red interior. AC car and it has a 12 bolt. I haven't decoded the car but I'm told it's correct with the numbers matching. The car has been freshly restored as well. So is there something special about this combination that makes people make serious offers on the car as soon as they simply hear about it? Is there anything else we should be looking at that might make it rare?

Thanks for the help

If it is an L79 car that would make it desirable. You stated a 275HP 327, the L79 had a 350HP 327.

Nothing special but just the right combo.

It's an L30 car, Jose. Same L30 that came in the Camaro in 67. I think the L79 was ultra low build numbers and aluminum heads.

That's kind of what we're thinking, Charlie. We just weren't sure due to the immediate and serious offers he gets after mentioning it. He only bought it because it was a red SS 4 speed car. That's just his preference. His red SS 4 speed 70 Chevelle sits right next to the Nova.

Thanks

There were only 6 L-79 Novas built in 67.......No aluminum heads on any L-79's ever.......67 L-79 had a cast iron intake and Quadrajet carb......they were rated at 325 H.P.

Here's a picture of one of the six 1967 Restored L-79 engine compartments

Thanks Ken. I knew it was low. I just wasn't sure how low.

I haven't seen it yet. I hope to soon. It sounds like it's a great little car.

Thanks for the input guys!
