Default Donor car worth

I went in to a body shop today to get a quote, a little shopping around. The guy gave me his price then asked if I'd be interested in a full '69 Camaro, the owner of the car just wants to get rid of it. Apparently it was crashed a little over 10 years ago and it's just been sitting waiting to get fixed, but now it's an abandoned project. The car was crashed on the passenger side at the front of the door, rear of the fender. It hit hard! Door is trash, fender is trash, rocker is trash, and roof is trash. It hit hard enough to mangle the dash in front of the steering wheel on the drivers side and push the drivers fender out about an inch.

As far as I can tell though the quarters and everything behind them look good. That's all stuff I would use for my car. The rest of the car I'd part out. It's nothing special. Just a 307 and a column shifted auto.

How much is a relatively rust free donor '69 camaro worth these days?

Thanks

About 6 years ago when I was looking for a '69 Camaro a guy had an X11 car that had a hard front hit with heavy rust damage. It was hard enough to but a buckle in the firewall across the wiper motor hole. Basically I would be buying a title and VIN and needing to replace all the metal on the car. He wanted $2500 for it, but would take $1500.

Seeing as that car will never be built again with a 1969 title and VIN if you can get it cheap enough I'd say its worth saving and bringing back from the dead.

Right on. I have not decoded the vin on this car yet, I don't think it's special by any means. All the metal on the car minus the door, fender, and roof look to be in acceptable condition with minor rust spots in the normal areas.

I purchased it today for 1K, I haven't fully decided what I'm going to try and take off of it yet. I think that I got the car cheap enough that I'll be able to take what I want off of it (bolt on stuff) and possible be able to re-sell it for more than I picked it up for or at least break even.

I'll post up a few pics soon. It's definitely not a rusted out pile, but it definitely hit whatever it hit pretty hard.

The car can be brought back. Just sheetmetal and time.

Here is the car. Listed it locally on C-list for 5K. If it sells for that price cool, if not then I guess I reconsider tearing it a part and selling it off one unused part at a time.
