Question 1969 Camaro dash color

I am currently working thru my list of parts to paint and I am having a discussion with my son on the color of the dash in front of the dash pad. The car will be shot in velocity yellow from the 2013 Corvette. I plan on the cage and lower dash being the same yellow but I am unsure of the dash area.
I have seen lot's of variations of colors flat black, semi gloss black, body color and other's.
Any real world experience would be helpfull.

With gloss is there alot of reflection?

Just trying to figure it all out...

I recommend a flat clear! Gloss in this area will reflect back to the windshield big time!

Satin black is the way to go. Has a little sheen but doesn't reflect.

Satin black, you don't want any light colors or gloss or the glare will be horrible. If you want to test to see if you can live with a light color, toss a piece of white paper on the dash of your daily driver and see what it's like.

Post Completed look...

I will have to take a few pictures of the dash area when I get home. I ended up painting in front of the dash pad satin black and below the dash pad the velocity yellow.
I am very happy with the results.
