Default Might as well introduce myself

I joined up at the end of 2019 and have pretty much just been a lurker reading through various build threads. Well I figure now is about as good time as any to introduce myself. I've been working on my 71 Monte Carlo off and on since I got it in 2013. It ended up sitting for a few years while I was working to get my work life back on track. Mid 2018 my wife had some health issues pop up so while I was sticking around the house on weekends to help her out while she recovered I started working on the car again. Right now I'm at a point where I need to take it off the road for a bit to install the new engine and 5spd. Once the cruising season is done I'll go ahead and do that.

Welcome to Lat-G. I, too, have always loved that body style of MC. Different body style, of course, but I drove a 78 MC in college in the 90s.

welcome to LatG, I am very fond of that year Monte.

In 74 I bought a 72 Malibu with the 402. I wanted a Monte, 3 weeks later a Big Block Monte came up for sale, dangit.

I graduated high school in 74, right during the time all the cool cars were coming up for sale used.
