Default Vintage Air install with Bulkhead Fitting

Hello everyone! I am in the middle of installing Vintage Air setup in my ‘61 Biscayne. I would like to use a bulkhead fitting at the firewall instead of what Vintage supplies. My question is, what did you all do to connect the air box to the fitting at the firewall under the dash? I don’t plan on hiding it under the fender just so I can work on it if needed without tearing the car apart. It will be a daily driver to an extent, but I would like to clean it up some from what it is supposed to be with the kit. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend this along with the EZ clip hoses. Otherwise you have 8 more connections and potential leaks.

Thanks Don! I have two different types ready to install, and couldn't make up my mind. This is even nicer as you don't have to fight any leaks on the back side of the bulkhead. I had that issue with Malitude.

Don
Thank you, Don! I will look into that. That would definitely make it easier with routing the hoses for the connections in the tight quarters under the dash.

It takes a bit of effort and cussing to install the iimuch piece but the advantages outweigh the effort. EZ clip hose has a tighter bend radius which helps prevent kinked heater hoses. You will also need the ez clip hose to heater hose adaptors that iimuch sells.

Thank you for all the tips! I'm hoping to get back on it this coming week. I have to patch up the firewall first before I lay out the hoses.

Don
Hey Don. Do you or anyone on here know if you HAVE to use the EZ Clip hoses with the IIMuch Bulkhead or can you use the standard A/C and heater hoses?

Well, darn. That won’t work with my budget right now then, unless someone wants to donate to a good cause. 😬🤣

Thanks for the info.
