Description:
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle was built to perform and stand with the best of them at any car show.
This pavement pounder is fitted with an LME 468 cubic inch LSX and followed up with a healthy does of nitrous oxide. The winning combination is able to produce 850 naturally aspirated horsepower and up towards 1,150 horsepower when the nitrous is applied. All of this power is feed through an RPM Level V 4L80E allowing the power to be transferred when needed but still able to cruise with some of the best.
All of this power does not come without any supporting modifications that would be needed on the frame. To start the most obvious modification for any hot-rod enthusiast is the mini tubs that allow for the massive tires on the back half of the Chevelle. The frame has been boxed and double railed for added rigidity that allows less flex when the pedal is being put to the metal. All of this was done during the frame off restoration and finished off with a powdercoated finish to withstand the everyday elements.
Top the winning engine and transmission combination together with an updated near factory style interior. The addition of the 10 point 4130 chromoly roll cage not only allows for added protection to any passenger but it also means that this ride can compete at virtually any drag strip if the need were to arise. The seats allow for the perfect combination of comfort and performance, the RJS racing harness is tied into the roll cage for maximum protection. For your viewing pleasure the Dakota Digital gauges have been fitted to allow for that modern look.
