I bought a Vintage Air unit some time ago and to be honest I wasn't that impressed with the technology and how it was constructed. Especially not the controllunit that was really poor in my opinion. Come on, we are in the 21st century and one could expect more from a "leading" company like Vintage Air.
My A/C guy who has a mild Pro Touring '66 Nova (C4 suspension and brakes, LT4 and T56) suggested a kit that they had put in his car.
It is a electronic unit from Waeco that will give you climatic control. It has a temperature display and touchbuttons. Much more in par with the rest of my stuff. So I bought one the other day. It has a sensor for outside temp.
It is quite easy to adapt, you have to add a switch or a pushbutton setup for controlling the vents in the VA unit but that is a piece of cake.
My VA controller will soon be up for sale.
The thing to the left is the heater valve.
